Take it easy with a sunset stroll down to the lake, or take the dogs for a run at the beautiful lakeside dog park at the top of Panorama Avenue. The Budgewoi Lake, as well as neighbouring Lake Munmorah and Tuggerah Lake are popular with locals for water activities such as sailing, rowing and water skiing, or relaxing weekend picnics and bike rides along the foreshores. The estuary is teeming with wildlife too so there is always some casual bird watching to be had at any time of the day.
Of course, it’s not all about the great outdoors – Charmhaven has a well serviced town centre with all the necessary facilities close by. Lake Haven shopping centre is just 2 minutes away and Westfield Tuggerah is 15 minutes down the road for some serious shopping. Charmhaven has plenty of great restaurants – from Asian to Italian, modern Australian to McDonalds.
